A little drawing I made for my uncle who lives on a boat.

Long, Long, Long

Amidst wave (and plant) drawings, I started a new series inspired by dreamy songs. Totally subjective interpretations based on visualizing the sounds. I was taking a walk a few weeks ago listening to music on random and "Long, long, long" by the Beatles came on. Aah the organ, the quiet opening. Listening to it I imagined someone laying on a hill in the sun, under a blue sky or slowly falling backwards into water. Flowers falling everywhere.

 

Dreaming of the Sea after Art School

Waves and more waves. They are one of the few forms that when captured in a photograph and translated into a drawing, can become both abstract and representational. Immense, delicate, always changing. Somewhere waves are crashing, and if I can't be near them then I will draw them.
